Service at the George Wickline Senior Center

Girl Scouts fifth grade and up can come volunteer at the Flager Beach Wickline Senior Center. Girls can gain Community service hours and get to know seniors as they were at your age.
Hours are from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

The Wickline Senior Center is a great place for girl scouts to earn service hours. My name is Brandi and i have served at the Wickline Senior Center for several years and have found it a very nice place to be. The service you do there is passing out food during lunch, calling BINGO, helping the seniors with all of their needs, cleaning the kitchen, helping to make the food, and anything else the seniors may ask your help for.

Also, during luch you would sit with the seniors and interact with them on an emotional level. You can share stories with them, and they may share stories with you. You may be surprised at how alike young adults and seniors can be. I have found that when you open up to them, the crankiest seniors can have the biggest hearts.
